Bachelor of Science and a Masters of (Secondary) Teaching

Experience:

• Over 10 years experience working with young people in a variety of settings including out of home care, faith communities, alternative and mainstream schooling,Currently employed teaching disadvantaged, disengaged young people

Bio:

Alex is the Young Adults Pastor at her local church, she is passionate about helping people discover purpose and belonging. Her career has centered on supporting children and young people through roles in out-of-home care, faith communities, alternative education, school chaplaincy, and school leadership. 

Alex's professional background has provided her with a strong understanding of the complex needs facing individuals and families, as well as the importance of effective governance in enabling organisations to deliver meaningful, sustainable impact. They have given Alex a deep appreciation of the importance of creating environments where people are seen, valued, and empowered. Alex is committed to supporting Open House's mission by contributing thoughtful oversight, and strategic leadership.
