Grad. Dip Counselling and Integrated Psychotherapy (Spiritual), B.Min (Bachelor of Ministries) and Master of Counselling.

Experience:

• Hospital chaplain

• Former staff member January 1990 – December 2000

Bio:

Melanie is a past Open House staff member, an ordained priest with extensive experience (20+ years) in pastoral ministry, counselling, and palliative care chaplaincy in an acute hospital setting. Melanie brings a compassionate, person-centered perspective to her Board role.  Her work across faith communities, emotional wellbeing, and end of life care has equipped her with strong skills in listening, ethical discernment, governance and supporting people through complex life circumstances. Melanie is committed to helping Open House fulfil its mission with integrity, wisdom, and a deep concern for the wellbeing of those we serve.
