The Program
Do you have one hour a week to make a real difference in your local community? We are looking for Bus Assistants to join our School Bus-Run Program! This Program has proven to be a vital community service, as it helps children in need get to school so they can have access to education, and it has been life-changing for many children and their families. The task involves conducting a bus-run around the local area to pick up children from their homes and take them to school.
The Position
The role of the Bus Assistant is to:
- Provide support to the bus-driver, which may include helping with navigation
- Knock on the door at each residence
- Assist children safely on and off the bus
- Remind children to fasten their seat belts

Time Required
The shifts available are on weekdays from 8am to 9am during school terms.
Requirements

- Current Working with Children Check
- Current National Police Check
- Two professional referees
Note: Open House will conduct the Police Check and assist applicants to obtain the Working with Children Check at no cost to the applicant.
