When I first volunteered at Open House, I knew there was something different about it. The Friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere were indicators of an organisation that truly cared for its participants. The focus on a long-term friendship model was unique and I could see every day the meaningfulness that participants derived from being at Open House.

It was seeing this impact that spurred me to undergo the Adele traineeship and to then take on my current role. I now have the privilege of working as part of a team that is dedicated to bringing about positive and long-lasting change to the community.
